Douglas County Residents Believe Ramseys Killed Daughter But Will Never Be Prosecuted

Among the 43 percent of Douglas County voters who have an opinion on who killed JonBenet Ramsey, 79 percent believe Patsy Ramsey or both parents murdered their daughter, but they also believe the case will never be solved (69%).

Douglas County is one of the fastest growing counties in the nation. It now has more than 160,000 residents. Seventy-two percent of the residents arrived the last decade and 47 percent came from one of the other counties in the metro area. A third of the new arrivals came from another state or country. As a part of the Denver suburbs, Douglas County citizens are somewhat more Republican, upper income, and higher educated than Colorado voters in general.

While the survey was conducted before the release of the Ramsey's lie detector results, opinions appear broad-based and well established. In addition, the lie detector results were met with some skepticism and controversy.
